Meet Deets
Meet #65 | 11/07/15 | Hosted by Hamish
In a full-on mode of preparation, we hit the Cadenhead's shop a couple of hours before the tasting and picked up 3 bottles that we thought offered something different. How would they stack up?

Smells
Fresh & grassy with green apples, leafy, lime zest and white wine, then gets a touch medicinal: Benylin and Tunes. Then the slightly confusing 'oats - in a nose-bag'. Trains, random shit (seems trains didn't come under 'random shit') and white pepper. Then sweet: cing sugar, candy floss, cream soda and Creamola Foam (who remembers that?).
Tastes
Oranges, orange rind, pith...
"What a pithy comment" - Phil (no one laughs)
"Says a guy who chases his whisky with milk" - Christina (people laugh)
"Another pithy comment!" - Ali L (reaction unrecorded)
...biscuits, tastes younger than 16, woody, sweet grass, cider vinegar and sweet – from green veg (weird) or sugar cane. Then fizzy and spicy: cheap lemonade, fizzy lemon with a touch of chilli. Then back to a floral sweetness: honey, pollen, fuchsia, candied grass. A nice sour balance, also creamy, vanilla and black pepper.

Finish & Comments
Hiccup, liquorice, Aspartame, chilil, ghost pepper (spiciest whisky ever?) and a pine cone.
- "I don’t really like it."
- "Improves with big gulps."
- "It's so clear! What's that all about? It looks like water."
