We had a night of 'rare-ish' liquid, featuring an unusual blend, a silent still and an as-yet-untasted Hazelburn. Which would win the battle of nicheness?

Smells
We had a load of noses, so let's just list them in a big brain-fart: Soy Sauce, warm pears, menthol, aniseed and bomboniere (sugared almonds). Potpourri, Appletiser, peach, stewed apple, clay, freshly cut spruce. Soy Sauce, warm pears, menthol.
Tastes
Equally, we had a load of tastes to, so brain-fart away! Cigar lounge whisky, Gary Liniker's Sex Face (potential for a band name right there) and metallic (but not Metallica). Grapefruit, 'like the other parts of a hot toddy', cloves and burnt spices.

Finishes
Toffee herbs. Smells like how I imagine a male bum would if I took a good sniff. Sour milk Granite meets graphite, with a few toffee herbs thrown in - break open the bread and dip it in marmite, and you've got yourself a meal! Lemons.
Comments
Still metallic like often, but warming and easy to drink.
